{"id":100,"date":"2020-11-17T11:47:37","date_gmt":"2020-11-17T11:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?page_id=100"},"modified":"2023-08-23T10:09:59","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T09:09:59","slug":"about-us-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gwenttiles.co.uk\/?page_id=100","title":{"rendered":"Conditions Of Sale"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"io-post-marker\" style=\"display:none\"><\/div>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Orders are accepted and promises for delivery given conditionally on full payment having been made and upon our being able to secure the necessary material, and without responsibility for delays arising through risks and uncertainties of manufacturer, strikes, accidents or other causes beyond our control.<\/li><li>The customer should examine the tiles\/goods on delivery to be satisfied that the goods are undamaged, of the correct quality\/quantity and in accordance with the contract and these checks should be made on delivery and before fixing.&nbsp; If the customer finds fault or is short with the tiles\/goods the customer to report this to the shop immediately or within 14 days of receipt of goods and we will be pleased to exchange the tiles\/goods or if we are unable to do this to give a refund.&nbsp; We cannot accept returns and give refunds for visible defects after the tiles or any bathroom furniture and fixtures have been fixed. We cannot be liable for any costs of removal or re-installation of goods once fitted or otherwise installed<strong>.&nbsp; <\/strong>No claims accepted after fixing.<\/li><li>The right to refuse countermands is reserved in the case of goods despatched, ready for despatch or in process manufacture.<\/li><li>Goods cannot be supplied on Sale or Return conditions, and goods will not be taken back or exchanged, unless previously agreed.&nbsp; We do not accept returns\/refunds for \u201cEnd of Line Clearance Tiles\u201d which are sold as a job lot (see item 13) or tiles which are deemed as a \u201cSpecial Order\u201d unless the goods are faulty and have not been laid.&nbsp; Special Orders may not be cancelled once goods have left an overseas factory or UK distribution point. We will consider returns when it is a tile which is still in stock so long as the tiles are returned within 31 days of the delivery\/collection<strong> <\/strong>and so long as we still have stock of the same shade and calibre.&nbsp; In addition, the invoice receipt must be shown, the boxes of tiles must be full and in their original packaging and resaleable condition which also applies to all bathroom furniture and fixtures as our suppliers are not obligated to take back goods unless the goods are returned in the original packaging.&nbsp; Customer to telephone the shop first to make a request for a return\/refund.&nbsp; We do not give refunds on grouts\/adhesives or any other perishable goods due to their perishable nature and shortened shelf life.<\/li><li>The supply of goods does not mean that they are suitable for specific installation.&nbsp; We can only be held responsible for any failure, on products supplied by us, to the extent that the Manufacturer of such products is prepared to guarantee same.&nbsp; No tiles are guaranteed against crazing.&nbsp; Special care should be taken in checking damp courses for vinyl and cork floor tiles.<\/li><li>Orders are only accepted subject to being invoiced at prices ruling at date of despatch, prices are subject to alterations without notice, except that fixed prices will be quoted for specific contracts on request.<\/li><li>All tiles are subject to shade variation.&nbsp; Customers must be aware of the problems which regularly occur when shading.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>(a) Repeat orders of the same shade we can sometimes supply when a shade number is quoted.&nbsp; We are not responsible and cannot guarantee repeat orders of same shade.&nbsp; Please ensure customers are aware of this so that the initial order is of adequate quantity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(b) Samples are issued at various times even perhaps 12 months previous.&nbsp; If the customer is expecting a precise shade, they are to be given a current sample.&nbsp; We cannot change tiles unless this procedure is carried out. There is always a question as to with what degree of variation all continental tiles are sold \u2013 subject to shade variations being inherent in the manufacturer of decorative and plain to acquire character.&nbsp; We will not be responsible or visit site if the tiles are fixed.&nbsp; The customer must examine in a good light all tiles and mix boxes and approve before tiles are fixed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"8\"><li>Star Rating \u2013 The majority of our tiles are sold on the following basis: * Wall only \u00a0 \u00a0 **Tiles suitable for low duty floor and low traffic areas eg bathroom floors and some living areas \u00a0 \u00a0 *** Tiles suitable for standard duty floors eg all domestic floors, kitchens, halls etc \u00a0 \u00a0 **** Tiles suitable for high duty floors, eg all domestic floors and some commercial applications.\u00a0 <strong>PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong> Ceramic floor tiles are not guaranteed against impact damage or stiletto heels, the Star Rating relates to surface wear.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"9\"><li>Tradesman &#8211; The Company strictly deals with the supply of the Goods and has no responsibility in respect of installation.\u00a0 Where the Company, as a courtesy, provides contact details for tilers or any other tradesperson to the Buyer, that is not a recommendation or a referral and any 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Parties are not endorsed by the Company in any way. The Company cannot be held responsible for inaccurate information provided by or for any work done by these traders and the Buyer can take no action against the Company in respect of the same.\u00a0 Before instructing a 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Party trader, it is recommended that the Buyer gets their own references and completes their own checks so that they are suitably satisfied before contracting them.\u00a0<\/li><li>If your order contains any special conditions or requests, these shall not be binding unless they are specifically accepted by us in writing.<\/li><li>We may update these terms and conditions from time to time.\u00a0 Every time you wish to order goods, please check these terms and conditions to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time. Every time you order goods from us, the terms in force at the time of your order will apply to the contract between you and us. If we have revised our terms and conditions as they apply to your order, we will contact you to give you advance notice of the changes and if you are unhappy with the changes, you have the right to cancel your order.\u00a0 If you opt to cancel; you will have to return (at our cost) any relevant goods you have already received and we shall arrange a full refund of the price you have paid including delivery charges.<\/li><li>Goods may vary slightly from pictures on our website even though we have made every effort to ensure the colours are displayed accurately.\u00a0 We cannot guarantee that the colours accurately reflect the colour of the actual products.<\/li><li>Tiles which are in the Sale\/Clearance are available to buy which are mixed, old, or previous batches of tiles which are discontinued.\u00a0 Customers need to ensure that they acquire the right quantity as we cannot guarantee future availability.\u00a0 Once the existing clearance stock has been sold it is unlikely, we would be able to acquire more of the same.\u00a0 Clearance tiles are sold as a \u201cjob lot\u201d and are non-returnable and non-refundable.<\/li><li>If you wish to make a change to your order please contact us and we shall confirm whether the change is possible and if it is we will notify you of any changes to the price of the product, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and we shall ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.<\/li><li>We offer a onetime free delivery service on each separate order placed so long as the delivery is within the area of a 35-mile radius from Gwent Tiles; if the delivery is a greater distance than this there could be a \u00a325.00-\u00a370.00 delivery charge depending on the mile radius.\u00a0 The customer shall be contacted by us to, where possible by us to arrange a morning or afternoon delivery slot and date which will normally be between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Any dates quoted for delivery are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any delay.\u00a0 The delivery of goods may be delivered in advance of the quoted delivery date and if so, the customer will be notified. If there is no one home to accept the delivery, we will contact you to rearrange delivery.\u00a0 There is a \u00a325.00 redelivery charge which must be paid to us in advance of the delivery.\u00a0 We will not leave goods without being signed for by you or a person authorised by you and full payment must be made prior to or on delivery.\u00a0 If you change your mind regarding the goods supplied once they have been delivered free of charge you may be charged for delivery of the exchanged order as we can only offer one free delivery on each different order placed. \u00a0 The customer will accept delivery of goods ordered when tendered.\u00a0 The customer is not entitled to reject delivery or return the goods because the number delivered is less than the order and the customer should notify us within 48 hours of the delivery.\u00a0 Orders accepted and arrangements for delivery are made subject to availability.\u00a0 Any dates quoted for delivery are approximate only.\u00a0 Gwent Tiles will not be liable for any losses the customer suffers because of late delivery or Gwent Tiles inability to deliver within the period between approximate delivery date and up to 30 days after the date of purchase.\u00a0 Any arrangement made by the customer in anticipation of delivery is made at the sole risk of the customer.<\/li><li>All goods are subject to availability but if they are in stock in our warehouse then goods will normally be dispatched within 3 working days excluding the day of order.\u00a0 Time for delivery of goods shall not be of the essence.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"17\"><li>You own the goods once we have received full payment.<\/li><li>If you are a customer and have changed your mind about the product you may be able to get a refund which might be subject to a restocking charge which is down to our suppliers.\u00a0 This would apply if you are within the cooling-off-period within 14 days after the last receipt of goods; this does not apply if your order is \u201cClearance Tiles\u201d (please see item number 13) or is deemed a \u201cSpecial Order\u201d (a product which we do not stock which has been ordered in for you specifically \u2013 please see item 4) as this is down to our Suppliers not Gwent Tiles.
